About Us
Interface Architecture, established in 1994, is a successful full-service architectural firm in Richmond. Currently, we are very active in two of the Lower Mainland’s busiest sectors, multi-family residential and industrial.
The principals, Ken Chow and John Lo, take pride in being creative, practical, and conscientious. They are known as effective communicators in bridging client goals, governmental regulations, technical requirements, and community objectives.
Over the years, we have been fortunate to have collaborated with many great clients on a wide variety and scale of projects. We have featured some of our clients’ projects and supportive comments on this website.

Ken Chow, Architect AIBC
Ken established this full-service architectural firm in Richmond in 1994. He began his architectural career in 1987 with the venerable Vancouver architectural firm, Thompson Berwick and Pratt.
Ken has been involved with a number of local organizations, including:
- 2006-08 Richmond Trade & Exhibition Centre Committee (advisor)
- 2000-04 Richmond Advisory Design Panel (4 years as Chair)
- 1996-02 Volunteer Richmond (2 years as VP)
- 1997-00 Vancouver/Richmond Health Board Seniors Committee
His Master’s thesis investigated improvements to the design of intermediate care facilities for seniors.
John Lo, Architect AIBC
John graduated in 1987 from the University of Calgary.
He has traveled extensively and worked on a number of hospitals, public and private projects before joining Interface Architecture in 1995.
Since then, John has completed numerous successful projects of various types and complexity large and small, and developed a strong base of loyal clients and valued friends.
John is committed to the practice of architecture in balance with his community, friends and extended family.
John is happily married with two boys.
